My latest WIP (work in progress) is a doily. I've never made one before and am only undertaking it at the request of my uncle who recently moved into his own geo-bachelor (geographical bachelor) place for the winters. I chose a relatively simple pattern that doesn't have a lacy flowery look to it. You can see it here . I'm not sure if I'm using the correct size thread since I've never used thread before; just had the thread in my stash from a thrift store find. Quite an accomplishment with the crocheting there, Ive just done a couple scarves and of course my chemo caps Ive tried a wrist warmer a couple of times but it always comes out too big so I gave up. I want to do a doily one day, but I looked at that pattern and I dont even know what those stitches are, good luck with yours because I really did love that pattern though.
ReplyDeleteI hope to finish the doily one day. My uncle wants 2 for the arms of his couch. I have the pattern down pat now to get to the last row and see how I figure that one out.:) I finished quite a few of my smaller projects by carrying them in my purse and working on them when I waited at doctors' offices and on my lunch break when I substitute teach. I really don't like waiting and twiddling my thumbs. Crocheting gives people a reason to want to talk.
