Monday's Link to Free Crochet Pattern

I love round afghans and there are many patterns available to crochet a variety of styles done in the round shape. If you look at this blog's header, I have a page full of these patterns. A new link I recently added to this page is for the Star Mandala Afghan. Check it out and let me know what you think. I always love to see how others make things and add their own special touches and colors.

Hugs,
Sharon

Today I was pondering how I could display some of my Barbie dolls and then the ol' brain took a side trip down Crochet Lane and I started looking up crochet patterns for Barbie and her friends. Today's link takes us to a pattern for a dapper outfit for Barbie's guy Ken. Check out the pattern and let me know what you think.

I should really call this "Random Monday's Link to a Free Crochet Pattern" since I am not reliable about posting links to patterns on every Monday. I hope the links I do post are inspirational to you. Here is a link to a pattern for a very comfy looking country style afghan.

Have fun!

Today's link takes us to a pattern for an afghan made of some interesting squares. This is a perfect project to work on during the warm summer weather. Squares are portable projects that are easy to work on when you are on the go.

Have fun!

As I was roaming around the Internet looking for a pattern that I haven't seen before I ran across these cute little baskets. They're made of granny squares and have a lining. They're really cute and shouldn't take too long to make. Check out this pattern and see what you think.

With the weather heating up for the foreseeable future, many crocheters are turning to smaller projects. Here is a cute doily pattern. It is a bit different with pretty red apples worked into the design. The page's background makes it a bit hard to read but it is worth your while to copy and paste this pattern onto a blank document and there you have a crisp, clean copy of a sweet doily pattern.

Have fun everyone!

Here's a link to a pretty doily with pineapples. Looking at the picture, maybe this could be made up in a worsted weight yarn and it would be a very pretty heirloom quality baby blanket. Hmmm, something to think about.

Here is a pattern for a cute little snowman. I can hardly believe that the holidays are almost here. Where has the time gone? Maybe all the naps I took this year really made the time fly by. Who knows but anyway it is time to get serious if you want to make decorations or gifts for Christmas like I do. I thought this pattern was cute because the snowman has a silly look about him. Check it out you might like it too.

Here's a pattern for some cozy crocheted boots. They look great and should keep your legs toasty warm. Might be good for someone who is prone to leg cramps in the cold weather that is on its way. Whoever they are for, I'm sure they will keep their legs and feet nice and warm.

Have fun!

After grocery shopping the other day and seeing all sorts of Christmas goodies everywhere it dawned on me that it is time to get working on Christmasy things. Today's link is to a free pattern for a small Christmas stocking. These would work nicely as small decorations or even to put small gifts into. Here's the link. Hope you enjoy.

I'm a bit off season with today's link. I am sending you to a pattern for a Christmasy afghan. If you start on a big item like this now, you still have plenty of time to make it if you so choose. I've been thinking about what I'd like to make for this years gifts so holiday-themed items came to mind for this week's link. Check it out and see what you think....

Here's a pattern for a can cozy. It's still summer time and if your family and friends are like mine, you go through a lot of cold beverages. This pattern will help keep your drink cold and also keep condensation away from your table.

Take care everyone and enjoy!

Monday's Link to Free Crochet Pattern (18 July 2016) Sale Info Too...

Today's link is for a pattern for a mandala. It is decorative but not overly fussy just the way I like them. Check it out and if you make one let me know what you think.

Michaels has Sugar 'n Cream yarn on sale for $1! It would be great to add to the hoard stash. I came home with a good sized bag of it and it's in the car waiting for an opportune time to bring it in the house. Husband is good about my stash acquisitions; on the other hand, I get a guilty conscious. ;)

Have a great week and stay cool....

I like practical crochet items and there's a bonus if they're pretty too. Today's link takes us to a pattern that is for a crocheted poncho that seems warm and is nice on the eyes too. Have fun with this one.

I've been looking for a pattern for a shawl or stole that would look dressy but would be easy to make. The On the Town Shawl is the one I'm going to check out. I think it would be great wrap to toss over the shoulders for a girl going to the prom, a bride or maybe someone who just needs a shawl for casual wear. I know, I'm early thinking about making a shawl for a prom goer but it takes me a while to decide on a project and there is a small chance I might change my mind and work on something else--ya never know...

Have fun and stay hooking!
