Question...

On Sunday, I am going to visit relatives out of state. I'm undecided about what sort of project I want to take with me. I was thinking of taking my small butterfly loom and trying to make some squares for a project, or do I just bring a bunch of cotton yarn and make dishcloths, or do I bring my knifty knitter loom and make some hats? I was thinking that I might get bored with any of those choices so maybe I can just not take anything with me and maybe when my uncle and I go to a couple flea markets I might find some yarn and patterns but then maybe I won't. Decisions, decisions. What have you take on a trip to work on?

  1. Small projects always work for me. Squares, dishcloths, hair scrunchies for the kids, a purse, etc. Have fun. :)

  2. I love afghans, so I'd probably take my current afghan project. Good luck making your decision, all your projects sound great! Have a wonderful day.

  3. I'm horrible at making a decision on what projects to bring with me when traveling. I always fear that I'll either get bored with something or that God forbid I were to actually finish everything I bring before the trip is over (it's not like I ever travel where there isn't some craft store close by)
but yes, I agree it's always tricky figuring out exactly how much you need with. I'm planning this for travel during wedding planning and the 2 week honeymoon and am thinking a project that requires multiple squares being made would likely be best :-)

  4. I have afghan squares all made to finish up an afghan but that would mean I'd have to pack a big project to take on the plane with me and I'm bringing an afghan to give as a gift already. I would like to finish the one afghan that the squares have been made for almost a year (bad Sharon!). I was thinking of the dishcloth thing because they're so easy to make and I could leave them there too as extra gifts and not have to carry back with me. I lose attention quick so maybe I need to take a couple small things to work on. I did make a copy of the instructions for baby booties to take with me so maybe baby booties and dishcloths.

  5. I like to take the hook and yarn with me. Sometimes I have a project and sometimes not..but it is there if I need it, or get an inspiration or idea. I like to keep it simple, so I stick to a hook and some thread yarn..potholders..yep..potholders get my vote...dishclothes would work too. It is better to have it an not need it, than to need it and not have it...that is what I tell my boys. Thank you for stopping by..the crystally snow diamonds and shadows are so pretty..but cold...
