Some of us like to go overboard with holiday decorations and some of us like to keep it fairly simple. Here's a pattern for a Christmas wreath that would be great no matter what your holiday decorating style. Great news, there is still time to make one for this holiday season.

Whatever your projects are, have fun making them.

I know I haven't been here lately. I had some severe pain in my lower back/legs/hips and could barely walk for a few days. Turns out I have arthritis. It's under control now and I'm very thankful that my hands aren't affected.

Here's a link to a free afghan pattern. It combines the ripple stitch with diamonds.

Hugs...

Probably the finished crochet projects I used the most beside potholders and dishcloths are slippers. I find that I can always use another pair.  Here is a sweet looking pair of slippers for the ladies.

Here is a pattern that is for egg cozies for your boiled eggs or maybe to use with your Easter eggs for a decorative touch. Easter this year is on the 31st of March so you still have time to make these before the big day.

I'll be flying home next Monday so I need to find another interesting pattern for next week.

Hugs, Sharon

Monday's Link to Free Crochet Pattern (04 February 2013)

I had set up today's post ahead of time and scheduled its posting for today because by the time you read this, I will either be in the air or in California visiting my friends. For the past 3 years, my friends have flown me to California from Kentucky to visit. They are very generous and fun friends to have. One of them I went to high school with back in the wild and crazy 1970s. We lost track of each other but reconnected about 11 years ago. Amazing with that many years passing, when we reconnected it was just like we had seen each other a couple weeks ago!

I got off topic here before I even got on topic! Here's the link for today's free pattern. It's a granny hexagon baby blanket. I love the "roundish" afghans and blankets and this one is very special because it has a granny-look to it too. I hope you enjoy it.

Hugs.....
Sharon

This is a pattern to use on a kindle:

Here's a pattern to crochet a doll's bridal gown. This pattern is written for several sizes. This brings back memories of when I was a little girl and bride dolls were very popular. I hope you enjoy this.

This pattern is a bit different from what I usually post because it requires a bit of fabric and sewing. I thought this was cute, and not too difficult and I like it so that's why I'm posting it. :) It is a summery dress with a crocheted yoke. The main part of the dress is a fabric tube so it won't be too hard to  make. Enjoy folks!

Some of you may be old enough to remember hanging plants that were very popular back in the 70s. Here's a pattern to crochet your own plant hanger. This is a nice pattern not only to use in your house but it would be nice to hang plants outside too.

Here is a cute pattern for a retro looking poodle. This is a small enough project to work on when summer's heat kicks in. I'm having to work on the afghan inside because it is just too darned hot to have it on my lap on the patio even with the ceiling fans on out there. This would be cute to give to someone into the 50s look. Have fun and a great week.

This week's pattern is from Lion Brand. It is a circular afghan called Caitlin's Circle Afghan. If you look under my blog's header you will see a tab that lists other links to free patterns for round(ish) afghan patterns. i like this pattern because of the big wedges of colors.

I know I should concentrate on posting smaller projects here with the weather getting warmer but I just saw this afghan pattern and felt compelled to post it here. This pattern is rated "easy" but the use of color and the flowers on it step it beyond the plain look of many easy patterns.

I'm so excited! For over a year I've been saving points from various things I'm doing on the Internet and finally had enough to cash in for gift cards at Amazon and I bought a Kindle Fire. Whoo, hoo! I love my 3G Kindle and I'm like a kid at Christmas time waiting for my Fire.

Y'all enjoy your weekend...
