WIP Wednesday--Or What's Going on in Sharon's World

My crochet ADD has kicked in this past week and I'm working on 3 crochet projects. My polka dot 'ghan is being sewn together, very sloooowly but no pictures of it until it's done. I'm also working on a scrappy wave afghan:

I got a bit carried away with the width:

That's okay because it will be extra snuggable (is that a word????).

I had some granny squares in my stash that were included in a bag of yarn I got at either a thrift store or yard sale so I used them as the beginning of a lapghan. I think I'll just keep on going with this one until it's an afghan. The pastels are so pretty.

I'm also making some tomato sauce out of tomatoes from my garden. It smells so good! No pictures because I've already posted some pictures on my blog of tomato sauce and you may be getting tired of it.

Hope everyone is having a productive and enjoyable week.

Stay cool!

  1. Love the granny! I never thought of putting smaller ones together then a regular granny border around it. I'm sure there are all sorts of interesting combinations you could do with that.

  2. Sounds like you are busy with your cooking and crochet (two of my favorite "c's"). :-) I've got three projects going right now too, but I've lost a bit of my mojo with all these 90 degree temps. Looking forward to fall! :-)

  3. The grannies look great as the center of an afghan!

  4. Both projects are looking good Sharon. Makes me want to start another 'soft waves' ripple. :)

  5. You are so lucky to have tomatoes. With triple digits here weeks in a row, nothing is producing in the garden. The tomato plants keep growing, I keep pruning them back, but only 2 tomatoes so far and no flowers to grow more :(

  6. Marsha, that's what happened to our tomatoes last year. This year the summer started out with lots of rain and we've watered everyday. It's been in the upper 90s here and rain has been scarce. Hope your plants come around for you.

  7. I really love the ripple and all the colors :o)
