Slippers--Think Pattern Is for a Giant!

I tried a different pattern for slippers. It works up easy but my gauge was off so I down-sized to a smaller hook. This pair was going to be for me so I made the larger size to fit my BIG size 10 (sshhh) feet. Well, I think that either my gauge was still off or these slippers are for the Jolly Green Giant! I'm just going to pitch this slipper. I suppose I could frog it and use the yarn in a magic ball for some future project. Anyway, here's a picture of it:

After the Christmas slipper rush is over I'll probably try these again. In the meantime, I'll stick with my old tried and true pattern for these slippers:

  1. My what big feet you have LOL Im just kidding you know that right? :o) That is a big slipper but I loved the color you were using they would have been pretty. You seem to whip up your other pattern really fast and I love those slippers. I hope you are having a good week :o)

  3. This is the first time I visited your blog and I'm trying to type through my tears I'm laughing so hard at the giant slipper! So darn funny and very brave and candid of you to post about it! I'm now a follower. Thanks for the chuckle. I like your sense of humor.

  4. And I really liked that pattern too! I might be able to "stuff" the toes with toilet paper or something to make it fit but I used so much yarn making the one slipper there isn't enough left to make one for the other foot! Laughing is good :) I'm glad you stopped in Clara.
