The sad thing is that around here, the adults wear the same thing (if not worse) and look absolutely ridiculous. And, supposedly, the whole showing your underwear thing is supposedly over. Very few rappers wear that look anymore. I pick on my younger brother whose pants were always falling down...now I tell him he was just ahead of his time.

We've got 50's predicted for the next few days and possibly warmer later in the week... It's a far cry from when I was a kid and the first snowfall was usually on or around Nov. 21. Enjoy that warm weather!

I'm 41 next week and tend toward the more conservative style of a girl brought up in NH.Laurie Lalibertehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14640175895773282060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3557614577091431398.post-29678743148142379592010-11-20T12:39:13.551-05:002010-11-20T12:39:13.551-05:00I get a kick out of these kids in their sagging pa...I get a kick out of these kids in their sagging pants. They have to walk around with one hand on their britches, one hand on backpack and it gets really comical when they're trying to hold hands with their sweetie. I'm sounding like my parents' generation in this post--back then it was ragged bottoms on the bell-bottomed jeans, long hair on men and mini skirts that when compared to today's minis were quite modest. Hope y'all are having a great weekend--our temps are supposed to be a heat wave in the 60s!

ps--I'm an older gal too--53 :)Sharon Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12178652815840919077noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3557614577091431398.post-69526372665091732212010-11-20T11:17:47.270-05:002010-11-20T11:17:47.270-05:00I live in a very diverse metro area. Pretty much,...I live in a very diverse metro area. Pretty much, the way a person dresses around here signifies where they're from. The saggy pants are considered "ghetto" and not limited to the youth. Fortunately for everyone else, those folks who sag their pants are respectful enough to wear "tighty whities" under their boxers, so we don't have to look at their butts.

I find many of the extreme versions of today's fashion terribly distasteful. The worst I've seen was the 50-ish y.o. woman who was wearing hip huggers (yeah, showing MY age), sans underwear, so low and tight that her butt cheeks resembled a pair of breasts in a push-up bra. (You're welcome for THAT visual.)Laurie Lalibertehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14640175895773282060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3557614577091431398.post-70600899397712933572010-11-20T09:40:24.053-05:002010-11-20T09:40:24.053-05:00I think they're both ridiculous. It is ridiculous in every way. How could anyone expect any respect dressing in this manner? All these people have to do is to put themselves in a logical serious situation with these pants on (or off,as it seems) and picture themselves being taken seriously.-https://www.blogger.com/profile/04964347857163044017noreply@blogger.com
